Equipment
Depending on their area of application my images are taken with the latest digital SLRs by Nikon, or still with analogue middle-format cameras.
1. Panoramic images 6x17cm
The panoramic images are taken with two Fujis GX 617 and the 105mm or 180mm lenses. Film material at the moment is the Kodak E 100VS.
Shortly after developing the 17cm large slides are digitized in high resolution by a professional service provider. This allows quick availability according to modern print requirements.
2. The 35mm images (common width-to-height ratio)
Using the latest digital SLRs by Nikon as well as a rich variety of high-end full-frame Nikon lenses. Starting with a wide-angle 14-24mm/2,8, over several standard-zooms as for instance a 24-70mm/2,8, the still awesome 50mm/1,4, up to a 105mm/2,8 macro-lens and 70-200mm/2,8 Telezoom the range changes continuously.
Furthermore Nikon-flashlights, several neutral density graduated and warm-up filters made by the English company Lee (no colour-filters!), an exposure meter Gossen “Starlite” and lots of other small accessories normally needed by a photographer are in use. Several tripods, mostly a Manfrotto 075B with the 410 Junior Geared Head come along.
